The Foundation of Tao is a spiritual organization dedicated to providing its members with the knowledge and power to liberate themselves from suffering, dysfunction, afflictions, death and also prevent these calamities, to disseminate wisdom to overcome stress, tension, anxiety, sorrow, greed, cruelty, and evil, discover the laws of the universe and live in harmony with them, to spiritualize their bodies to achieve immortality by uniting microcosm and macrocosm or human beings and the Tao.

Membership in the Foundation of Tao and its benefits are explained below:

Membership Qualification Fee Benefits
Seeker (non-voting member) Anybody None Eligibility to seek Taoist consultation
Cultivator (voting member*). Certification renewed yearly. Expert knowledge of at least one Pillar of Taoism $25 filing fee per year Eligibility to give consultation as a Certified Practictioner
Minister (voting member*). Certification renewed yearly. Expert knowledge of and willingness to practice at least four Pillars of Taoism $50 filing fee per year
*Must be California resident to be eligible to vote.
